Ronnie Rothchild,(flute) is a member of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and Tropical Winds Quintet. She attended Boston University and the Mannes School of Music where she studied with Frances Blaisdell. She studied in Master Classes with Jean Pierre Rampal and William Bennett. She is an active free lance musician in South Florida, performing in orchestras and chamber groups. She teaches flute at Pine Crest School, works as a band clinician at many public schools and teaches privately. She was formerly principal flute of the Israeli National Opera and winner of the Edis de Phillipe Award.
Freddy Ortiz, (violin and viola) has been a member of the National Symphonies of Bolivia, Costa Rica and the Maracaibo Symphony in Venezuela. He attended the North Carolina School of the Arts where he was a student of Erik Friedman. He participated in master classes by Zoltan Szekely, Joseph Gingold, Franco Gulli, Janos Starker, Ruggiero Ricci and others. He was coached in chamber music performance by the Hungarian String Quartet. He was a member of the Apple Hill Chamber Players for 6 seasons and Violin Instructor at Keene State College in N.H. He was principal second violin of the Florida Grand Opera Orchestra and the Sunshine Pops Orchestra. He has also performed with the Miami City Ballet Orchestra for many years. He teaches strings at the Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton.
